Scripture Reading: Psalm 32:8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”

Psalm 32:8 reveals the intimate nature of God’s guidance. The promise of divine instruction, teaching, and counsel is expressed with a personal touch—God’s eye upon us. This verse prompts us to consider the depth of our receptivity to God’s guidance. Are we attuned to His instruction, open to His teaching, and responsive to His counsel? The imagery of God’s watchful eye speaks of a relationship marked by care and attentiveness.

Furthermore, Psalm 32:8 challenges us to reflect on the source of our guidance. In a world filled with various voices and influences, this scripture directs our attention to the One whose guidance is unwavering and trustworthy. As we journey through life, let us cultivate a posture of listening to God’s instruction, being teachable in His ways, and remaining attentive to His counsel, confident that His eye is upon us.

Wise Counselor, we open our hearts to your instruction and teaching. Guide us in the way we should go, and counsel us with your watchful eye upon us. May we be attuned to your guidance, recognizing the wisdom and insight that come from your loving presence. Amen.
